On the game’s subReddit, one player posted a step-by-step guide for how anyone, pre-order or not, can get their hands on a beta code. According to INGWR, all you need to do is head over to the support page for the Battlefront 2 beta, pick your desired platform, hit ‘Codes and Promotions’ and use ‘invalid code’ as the issue.

From there, you can type in any sensible reason, such as the code you received from your retailer not working, or that you didn’t receive one at all etc. Pick your region and log in to your EA account to submit the ticket.

Multiple reports from Reddit users indicate that the trick actually works. Judging by how quickly EA responds to the support ticket (less than a minute), the process is very likely automated.
